Little boy

Kneeling on the lawn
mouth open wide
catching snow flakes
eyes open wide
on his tongue
great big fluffy flakes
that melt instantly
on his tongue

his knees are soaked
his hands are cold
but
his heart soars
his mind climbs Everest
